DA Moves To Send OC Rapist To Mental Institution
SANTA ANA (CBS) — Orange County prosecutors want to put a convicted rapist behind bars for good.
KNX 1070's Mike Landa reports Lawrence Brown will be brought from Chino prison to a Santa Ana courtroom on Friday for a civil trial.

Brown was briefly released on parole after serving 25 years for kidnapping and raping two young girls in 1983.
Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackaukus has filed a petition to keep Brown in a mental institution until he no longer poses a danger to the community.
Rackaukus says lawmakers in Sacramento are working on legislation to make sure other serial rapists are not released back into the community.
