LOS ANGELES (CBS) — An Encino cosmetic surgeon possibly linked to a patient’s death has now had his license to practice medicine suspended by a judge.
KNX 1070′s Charles Feldman reports.
Responding to a request from the state medical board, a judge went beyond his order of only a couple of weeks ago when he barred Dr. Ehab Mohamed from performing some surgery.
Under the new order, Mohamed is not even allowed back into his own office pending a full hearing next summer — effectively putting the doctor out of business.
A patient of Dr. Mohamed recently died after undergoing a day-long, $100,000 liposuction procedure in his office, an operation the judge now says should never had taken place.
