Palm Springs Man Arrested For Threats Against Congressman
RIVERSIDE (CBS) — A Palm Springs man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly making expletive-laden phone calls threatening to kill a congressman from Washington state.

In a December phone call, Charles Turner Habermann, 32, allegedly threatened to kill Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., his friends and his family, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Habermann was expected to make an initial court appearance at 3 p.m. in U.S. District Court in Riverside.
