Both Ducks And Kings Will Be Represented At NHL All-Star Game

(CBS) -- The Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings will both be represented at the All-Star festivities to be held Jan. 28-30 in Raleigh, N.C.

Two Ducks were named All-Stars -- winger Corey Perry and goalie Jonas Hiller. Perry leads the team with 45 points, while Hiller has a 2.39 goals-against average.

Center Anze Kopitar, who has 45 points, is the lone representative of the Kings, who are currently ninth in the Western Conference with 47 points.

The NHL is straying from the traditional Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference format this year. Next week, two captains will be chosen and charged with the task of picking the two rosters

It has been two years since the NHL staged an All-Star Game. Last season's game was skipped because of the Vancouver Olympics.
