No Immediate Charges In Alleged Disabled Assaults

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles prosecutors are not immediately filing charges against a man who was arrested in an investigation into the apparent sexual assaults of disabled women.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office said Tuesday that it needed more information about the alleged victim in the case against 37-year-old Ernie Lloyd, who surrendered to sheriff's deputies Saturday after his photo was shown on the news.

Lloyd was one of as many as 10 men who authorities suspected of assaulting disabled women, some of whom were in diapers. The apparent assaults were captured on videotape but prosecutors say they currently do not have enough evidence to know if Lloyd's alleged victim did not consent to sexual acts.

Another suspect has been identified as a state prison inmate.
