Jewel, Husband Expecting First Baby

NEW YORK (AP) — Jewel is expecting a precious gift -- a baby.

The pop-country singer is pregnant. Her publicist, Nicole Perez-Krueger, says it will be the first child for Jewel and her husband, rodeo champion Ty Murray.

The 36-year-old singer and Murray were married in 2008.

Jewel's hits include "You Were Meant for Me."

The pregnancy was first reported Tuesday on People magazine's website.
