Cosmetic Surgeon May Lose License Over Fatal Treatment
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A San Fernando Valley cosmetic surgeon who has been accused of high fees, questionable practices and the death of a patient may have his medical license revoked.
KNX 1070 investigative reporter Charles Feldman says Dr. Ehab Mohamed is confident he can beat the charges.
State officials want Mohamed’s medical license suspended after a patient died while undergoing a procedure in his office.
Mohamed is currently permitted to work with restrictions.
While arguing to have Mohamed’s license suspended, state officials said the doctor does not know what he’s doing when he administers drugs to patients.
Mohamed ’s attorney Ronald marks says he’s confident the doctor will get to operate.
A decision on Dr. Mohamed ’s license is expected within 15 days.
