LOS ANGELES (AP) – Jarret Stoll scored two goals, one short-handed, and the Los Angeles Kings snapped a five-game losing streak with 6-4 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

Dustin Brown ignited a three-goal first period with his team-high 17th, rookie defenseman Alec Martinez scored during a power play and Ryan Smyth added a much-needed insurance goal after Columbus cut a 4-0 deficit to 4-3. Justin Williams scored into an empty net during a power play with 31 seconds remaining.

Defensemen Drew Doughty and Jack Johnson each had two assists, as did Marco Sturm.

Jonathan Quick made 31 saves for the Kings, who reached the midway point of their schedule with a 23-17 1 record.
