3 Arrested In Melee Outside West Hollywood Club

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Authorities say a crowd of punk rock fans hurled rocks and bottles at deputies after being kicked out of a West Hollywood nightclub and three people were arrested.

However, no serious injuries are reported.

Los Angeles County sheriff's Capt. Kelley Fraser says deputies were called to the Key Club Thursday night after some patrons got into a fight with security. Two people were arrested on suspicion of assault.

However, Fraser says some patrons inside were still unruly and the manager decided to close the club. The captain says some patrons leaving the club taunted deputies and as many as 100 began hurling rocks and bottles. Deputies responded with pepper spray and pepper balls.

A security guard suffered a minor injury and one person was arrested for being drunk in public before the crowd was dispersed.
