LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Wednesday near the Vermont Avenue offramp from the westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in the Athens area, authorities said.
The man, in his 20s, died at the scene, at about 6:40 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The motorist stopped, and was interviewed by police.
Authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of his relatives.
The offramp was closed while an investigation was conducted, California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos said.
