Man Suspected Of Lighting Girlfriend On Fire

HAWAIIAN GARDENS (AP) — A Los Angeles-area woman is in critical condition after being set on fire, and authorities are searching for her boyfriend.

Sheriff's officials say deputies responded to a call Sunday morning in Hawaiian Gardens and found the woman with severe burns.

Investigators say her boyfriend is suspected of dousing the victim with a flammable liquid and setting her ablaze. He is still at large.

The victim is hospitalized with second and third degree burns over 60 percent of her body.

The names and ages of the victim and the suspect have not been released.
