Driver Killed After Car Flips Over In Garden Grove

GARDEN GROVE (CBS) — A driver was killed Saturday when his vehicle hit a curb and flipped over in Garden Grove, a police lieutenant said.

The accident, which took place on West Street just south of Orangewood Avenue, occurred 11:51 p.m., Garden Grove police Lt. Jeff Nightengale said.

The vehicle was heading westbound on Orangewood Avenue when it turned southbound on West Street, hit the curb and flipped over.

Authorities said speed may have been a factor in causing the crash.

The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
