Police Use Stun Gun On Woman Who Ran Into Freeway Traffic
BANNING (CBS) — Police in Banning used a stun gun Thursday on a 34-year-old woman who reportedly ran into traffic on the 10 freeway after they tried to subdue her.
The woman was detained and is undergoing a mental evaluation today, police said.
According to Banning police, the woman was creating a disturbance at a business in the 1300 block of Ramsey Street around 2 p.m. Thursday .
When officers arrived, she ran onto Interstate 10, darting into traffic on both the east- and westbound sides of the freeway.
She sustained minor injuries and was treated at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital.
