Greyhound Bus Crash Near Elysian Park Snarls Traffic On 5 Freeway
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Greyhound bus with 45 people on board was involved in a crash today on the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway just south of Elysian Park, with at least one injury reported.
"A vehicle ran into the back of a Greyhound bus" at the Pasadena (110) Freeway interchange about 9:30 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Ed Jacobs.
At least one person was taken to a hospital, he said.
The CHP shut down the two right lanes of the 5 Freeway and declared a Sigalert at 10:30 a.m., according to Jacobs, who was unsure whether passengers would have to be loaded onto another bus to continue to their destination.
