'Darth Vader' Arrested After Bizarre Bank Hold-Up In Rowland Heights
ROWLAND HEIGHTS (CBS/AP) — A man has been arrested for allegedly disguising himself in a Darth Vader mask, a black wig and pink hospital scrubs while using a hatchet to hold up a bank in a local supermarket where he works as a clerk.
Sheriff's officials say Gregory Sanchez was arrested about three hours after Thursday's robbery at a Bank of America branch in a Rowland Heights Albertson's. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.
An investigation led sheriff's deputies and FBI agents to 46-year-old Sanchez, who was arrested while working at the grocery store.
The West Covina resident is being held on $100,000 bail.
