Video Game Casting Director Fatally Struck In Playa Del Rey Hit-And-Run

PLAYA DEL REY (CBS) — A well-known video game casting director was fatally struck by a car in Playa Del Rey Wednesday, police said.

Brigitte Burdine, 48, was a pedestrian on Culver Boulevard when she was hit, according to authorities.

The crash took place at 1:50 a.m. at Culver and Jefferson boulevards, Officer Carl Lurvey of the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Division said.

No one had been arrested or cited. The driver, in a dark sedan, took off immediately after the crash.

Police say the driver fled without offering any help or assistance.

The car is believed to have front end damage.
