SAN GABRIEL VALLEY (CBS) — The six-day deluge of rain has left the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society fighting to stay afloat.

The shelter’s ceilings have collapsed, forcing organizers to relocate hundreds of animals.

Meteorologists are predicting another rainfall Tuesday night and that has the Society worried about further damage.

The Humane Society is in desperate need of donations and help from contractors. If you would like to help go to their Web site.

I am an employee here and this is very very real! Please help us help the animals. Any donation will be welcome and appreciated. Please help them as you are able. Thank you from all the staff and the critters!

And also give to causes that benefit homeless “people” – even giving a ham salad sandwich to someone in need does help. Really. And for the kitties? How ’bout those old outdated cans of tuna in the pantry?
