HAWTHORNE (CBS) — A man was shot to death Monday in his parked vehicle in Hawthorne, homicide detectives said.
The shooting was reported at 118th Street and Acacia Avenue at 6:36 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A gunman described as a “young male black adult” approached the vehicle and fired several rounds at the victim before fleeing the scene, the homicide lieutenant said.
The victim was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Anyone with more information about the shooting was urged to call the Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.

This article makes me laugh in respect to, “Anyone with more information about the shooting was urged to call the Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.” considering it took the police 30 MINUTES to even arrive at the scene. So much for protect and to serve, the police station is a joke.
