Man Reportedly Holds Mother Hostage In Hollywood Home

HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — A man believed to be holding his mother hostage surrendered to police Tuesday night after barricading himself inside a Hollywood home for nearly five hours, authorities said.

Police were called to 6532 Cerritos Place, near Cahuenga Boulevard, about 1:30 p.m. on report of a domestic violence situation. Sharpshooters responded to the scene and the man voluntarily gave himself up at 6:24 p.m., police said.

The suspect’s name was not immediately available.

    I have personal knowledge of this incident and the alleged victim states these accusations are false and she was never held hostage. She is deeply distressed about the publicity and claims it was all a mistake involving a neighbor who called LAPD. As she has no internet access she asked me to post this on her behalf.
