3.6-Magnitude Quake Rattles Simi Valley

SIMI VALLEY (AP) — A 3.6-magnitude earthquake rattled the Simi Valley area early Tuesday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake occurred at 12:36 a.m., about four miles west of the Castaic Lake Dam, in an area about 45 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

Geophysicist Jessica Sigala says it was felt in Newbury Park, Moorpark and Santa Clarita. She says it hasn't caused any damage.
