Woman Dies After Being Rescued From Flooded Road
CHINO (AP) — A 67-year-old Pasadena woman has died after driving her car onto a flooded street in Chino.
The San Bernardino County Coroner's Office said in a statement that Joan Ja Oden on Christmas Day had driven past barricades across a road closed due to flooding.
Her car submerged and bystanders were unable to pull Oden from the vehicle.
Oden was eventually taken to the hospital, where she died early Sunday of her injuries.
No other information was immediately available. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
