Glendale Officer Fights Battery Charge In Alleged Road Rage Incident

GLENDALE (CBS) — A Glendale police officer is on administrative leave while he fights a misdemeanor battery charge in connection with an alleged road rage incident in Burbank.

Glendale Police Officer Eric Ritter has pleaded not guilty in connection with an alleged fight with another motorist.

Ritter and another motorist reportedly got into the altercation about noon Oct. 14 near Hollywood Way and Victory Boulevard, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The men had been cutting each other off on city streets in Burbank, and when they stopped at a red light, they got out of their vehicles and allegedly began to fight, The Times said.
