LOS ANGELES (CBS) — About 2,100 Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers got their electricity back Sunday after a storm-related outage left them in the dark overnight.
The outage, which affected the area around North Figueroa Street and York Boulevard in Highland Park, was reported at around 1 a.m., according to Maychelle Yee of the DWP.
Traffic signals in the area were out for about five hours until the problem was fixed shortly after 6 a.m., Yee added.
Yee did not know the exact nature of the problem but said it was believed to be storm-related.
Smaller, scattered outages have been reported around the city, including a cluster in Sherman Oaks, she said.
