Mayor tapped panel of experts in November

KNX 1070’s Charles Feldman reports

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced last month that he assembled a 26-member panel of aviation experts to look into safety and security lapses at the airport following a series of our reports that documented everything from on-duty airport police doing crossword puzzles to blocked safety exits.

But despite the blue-ribbon panel assigned to the review, the City Council has had little success getting an update on the panel’s progress.
