The wanted man is identified as Gregory Scott Turner, a 33-year-old criminology student.
Police say he tried to strangle his wife during a violent confrontation in their Verano Place apartment.
Campus police say when they arrived on scene after responding to a domestic violence call, they found Mrs. Turner had been beaten into unconsiousness.
