2 Body Scanners Installed At Ontario International Airport
ONTARIO (AP) — Body scanners are now in operation at Ontario International Airport.
Transportation Security Administration spokesman Nico Melendez says two scanners were installed in the two Ontario terminals.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says the Terminal 4 scanner went into service Monday and the Terminal 2 scanner should be operational next week.
The devices reveal passengers' bodies to security staff. Those who decline face personal touch pat-downs by TSA employees.
Palm Springs International Airport will receive its first scanners next week.
