GLENDALE (CBS) — A young woman accused of killing an 80-year-old pedestrian in Glendale in the course of texting while driving is facing a felony vehicular manslaughter charge, the District Attorney's Office reported Tuesday.

Ani Voskanian, 20, of Tujunga, is charged in the death of Misak Ranjbar.

She allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign at Columbus and California Avenues on Sept. 15 and struck Ranjbar.

Prosecutors are asking that Voskanian's bail be set at $50,000.
