LOS ANGELES (AP) — The California Highway Patrol says a man walking on Interstate 5 just east of downtown Los Angeles was struck by a car and killed early Tuesday.
CHP Officer Villalobos told City News Service the accident happened about 5 a.m. near Main Street.
Villalobos says three southbound lanes of Interstate 5 north of Interstate 10 were closed for about two hours while officers tried to determine what the man was doing on the freeway.
His name was not immediately released.
