Ducks Extend Coach Randy Carlyle's Contract

ANAHEIM (AP) -- The Anaheim Ducks have extended coach Randy Carlyle's contract through the 2011-12 season.

The Ducks on Tuesday also gave a one-year extension to David McNab, senior vice president of hockey operations.

Carlyle is 235-152-56 since taking over the Ducks on Aug. 1, 2005, with the most victories and highest winning percentage in franchise history.

He led Anaheim to its only Stanley Cup championship in 2007, also winning the club's only Pacific Division title.

The Ducks made the postseason in each of Carlyle's first four seasons before missing the playoffs last spring.
