Man, 85, Injured In Attic Fire At Porter Ranch Home

PORTER RANCH (CBS) — Authorities Saturday said an 85-year-old man suffered smoke inhalation and possible burns in an attic fire at a Porter Ranch home.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 19000 block of W. Nashville Street at 9:06 a.m. and reported a knockdown 22 minutes later, Devin Gales of the Los Angeles City Fire Department said.

Paramedics transported the man to Northridge Hospital Medical Center in stable condition. Two puppies that suffered some smoke inhalation were also rescued, according to reports at the scene.
