CENTURY CITY (AP)— Fire officials say three people were injured in a blaze at a Century City high-rise that sent a large plume a black smoke into the sky.
Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott says the fire was reported Sunday afternoon in a unit on the 20th floor of a condominium building in the 2100 block of Century Park East.
More than 140 firefighters responded and knocked down the blaze in about 20 minutes.
One woman suffered minor burns and another had a “mild” respiratory complaint. The third woman was treated at the scene and released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
