Jobless Benefits Expire For 185,000 Californians

SACRAMENTO (CBS) — Extended unemployment benefits began running out on Saturday for 185,000 people in California.

Through December, up to 410,000 people here will stop getting checks without the the federal money which is included in the proposed deal to extend the Bush-era tax cuts.

If Congress passes legislation before year's end, those whose benefits expire before then would likely receive payments retroactively.
