Biker Gang Members Convicted For Murder, Torture

FONTANA (AP) — Two members of a California motorcycle gang have been convicted of the beating and shooting death of a Vagos club prospect over the sale of a motorcycle.

Jurors on Tuesday found 47-year-old Keith Allen Silva and 35-year-old David Anthony Beltran guilty of first-degree murder and torture for the death of 34-year-old Dennis Daoussis in April 2003.

Prosecutors say Daoussis was beaten at a Fontana home, bound with zip ties and duct tape, then dumped in the Mojave Desert. He was shot in the head.

The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin says Silva was president of the Berdoo Chapter of the Vagos and Beltran was sergeant at arms of the Inland Empire Chapter. Prosecutors say Silva and Beltran were avenging the alleged theft of $3,000 given Daoussis to buy a motorcycle.
