Dr. Jim Sears Has Easy Tips On How To Fight Off Flu

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Colds are bad enough. You don't want (cough cough) the flu. It's miserable and awful and (sneeze) you get chills and a runny nose and fever and (cough) ... you don't want it.

Dr. James Sears, of KCAL 9's "The Doctors," was an in-studio guest on the KCAL 9 News at 2 p.m. Wednesday to talk about flu season and how to ward off the nasty bug.

"The Doctors" Thursday show (KCAL 9, 11 a.m.) will offer 40 ways to keep the family healthy, covering every topic from vitamins, hygiene and exercise. Dr. Sears also talked about knowing the difference if you have the common cold and a more active and nasty flu.
