Man Convicted Of Murdering Burbank Woman Gets 50 Years

PASADENA (CBS) —  Los Angeles County prosecutors say a man convicted of fatally shooting a Burbank woman has been sentenced to 50 years to life in prison.

The district attorney's office says Armen Mangasaryan was sentenced Tuesday in Pasadena Superior Court. He was convicted of first-degree murder in August. Co-defendant Arpiar Terrgalstanyan, the getaway driver, was sentenced to 16 months plus 16 years to life in prison. A third defendant, Bella Stepanyan, pleaded no contest to one count of accessory after the fact. She was sentenced to 360 days in county jail and three years of formal probation.

Prosecutors say Jasmine Voskanian was shot in the face and killed in February 2009 when she opened the door for Mangasaryan.

Evidence presented during the trial revealed Voskanian owed money to Stepanyan.
