LA Couch Potatoes Win $10K For Setting New TV Watching Record

Watched eight seasons' worth of "24" episodes

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Four days ago 85 people gathered in front of a giant TV under a tent in Hollywood to watch episodes of the show “24”.

Three men emerged from that tent with some cash and a Guinness World Record.

Kevin Coon was among 85 who initially gathered four days ago to sit on comfy couches in front of a giant TV inside a tent to watch 8 seasons worth of episodes from the show “24”.

KNX 1070’s Ed Mertz reports

After 86 hours of commercial free television, they were brought into the sunshine and each given a check for $10,000.

      Oh … never mind… duh I re-read the stupid little article. But still, WHERE does the money come from to set these records? Who could possibly CARE how long someone would do this activity?
