1 Dead, 2 Critically Injured In Torrance Motorcycle-Car Crash

TORRANCE (CBS)  — Authorities said Tuesday that a 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed and two people critically injured in a collision between the biker and a car  in Torrance.

The unidentified motorcyclist was going north on Anza Avenue about 1:40 p.m.

He collided with a vehicle going southbound that was making a left turn to eastbound Emerald Street, Torrance Police Department Lt. Jon R. Megeff said.

The motorcyclist was declared dead a the scene.

The intersection of Anza Avenue and Emerald Street was closed for three hours for investigation.
