Investigators Determine Found Body Is Missing Alhambra Man

CABAZON (CBS) — Coroner's investigators Monday determined that a body pulled from Whitewater River is that of a missing Alhambra man.

Paul Kluge, 48, had been missing since Friday.

His personal effects were found in a rented silver Hyundai Accent at the Whitewater Road Cutoff, near the river, and his information was entered into a national missing persons database.

Authorities learned that the car had been parked there since Nov. 28.

No one had reported him missing but his next of kin have been notified of the death.

An autopsy was performed but a cause of death has been withheld pending additional tests.

Investigators with the sheriff's Cabazon Station and the department's Central Homicide unit have been assigned to the case.
