Barajas Cashes In On One-Year Deal With Dodgers

(CBS) — Not long after the Los Angeles Dodgers declined to offer a contract to Russell Martin, the team has reportedly agreed to bring back C Rod Barajas on a one-year, $3.8 million deal.

In 64 at-bats with the Dodgers last season, Barajas hit .297 with 5 HRs.  He made $1 million in 2009.

Barajas grew up in Southern California and attended Cerritos College.
