No one will say for sure, but former Laker star Magic Johnson says he's partnered with AEG President and CEO Tim Leiweke to bring an NFL team back to Los Angeles.
Johnson, who has sold his stake in the Los Angeles Lakers, says they are trying to lure an existing NFL club to Los Angeles.
Earlier this month, AEG announced interest in building a new football stadium downtown, near Staples Center.
Los Angeles has not had an NFL team since both the Raiders and the Rams moved after the 1994 season.
