Mike Unzueta of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says the passage ran 2,200 feet from a home's kitchen in Tijuana, Mexico, to two warehouses in San Diego.

Unzueta says the tunnel is believed to be the work of Mexico's Sinaloa cartel.

Two people were arrested in the United States and five in Mexico. Authorities seized nearly 14 tons of marijuana at a nearby Border Patrol checkpoint Thursday. An undetermined amount of pot was found inside the tunnel in the U.S. and in Mexico.
