USC Topples Cal State Fullerton 81-54

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Maurice Jones scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half to lead Southern Cal to an 81-54 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday night.

The teams were evenly matched for most of the first half, but the Trojans (4-2) pulled away early in the final half for their second straight win.

After Orlando Brown's 3-pointer trimmed USC's lead to 36-35, the Trojans went on a 14-4 run.

Devon Peltier led the Titans with 15 points, and Sedric Martin added 13.

USC held a 41-28 rebounding edge over undersized Fullerton (1-4), which didn't have a starter over 6-feet-7.

Nikola Vucevic had 16 points and 14 rebounds, Alex Stepheson added 11 points and 12 rebounds and Bryce Jones had 15 points for USC.

USC made 17 of 28 shots in the second half en route to its most lopsided victory of the season.
