Woodland Hills Charter School Renamed For Schwarzenegger

WOODLAND HILLS (CBS) — A newly expanded charter school campus in Woodland Hills was named Monday in honor of outgoing Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The CHIME charter school, a combination elementary and middle school, was named the CHIME Institute's Schwarzenegger Community School.

Schwarzenegger called it "a great honor."

"There is nothing more important than providing our students a first-class education and this school is a shining example of what is possible for all our schools," he said.

The CHIME Charter Elementary School was named for Schwarzenegger in 2007, but the school recently combined its middle and elementary schools on the same campus.
