USC Aware Of Company Before Baxter Golf-Cart Ride

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Southern California says officials from its athletic department met with the student who provided the golf-cart ride to freshman tailback Dillon Baxter before the incident and
told him it was against NCAA rules.

Baxter missed USC’s 36-7 loss at Oregon State on Saturday night after the contact with Teague Egan, the CEO of 1st Round Enterprises.

ESPN.com reported Sunday night that Egan is registered as a contract adviser with the NFL Players Association, and 1st Round Enterprises advertises services for athletes that include contract negotiations and endorsement deals.

The school says three senior officials met with Egan before Baxter’s free ride Thursday and told him the cart trips would be against NCAA rules.

Ok, now that we know Baxter was advised of the violation if it occurred and he did it anyways, what will USC do to Baxter or what will the NCAA do to USC?????

A big to do about nothing!! Somebody needs to sie down with the NCAA and get rid of some of the stupidest rules I ever heard from. A ride, big deal!!!
Reminds me of years ago, Jim Harraig, the ex-head coach of UCLA basketball took some players out to dinner and got hit with a violation and so did the students. How stupid was that????

It is a big deal. A rule is a rule to keep competition even. The history they have is why the NCAA is coming down hard. Baxter should be let go from football and school. USC= University of Southern Cheaters.
It just goes to show you they have no talent unless they break and cheat to a title.
