SUN VALLEY (CBS)  —  Officials say a man in Sun Valley was pinned under a sport utility vehicle Monday night after the SUV fell off a flatbed tow truck.

The man is listed in serious condition.

The accident occurred at 8919 N. Norris Ave., near Tuxford Street, in Sun Valley at 6:32 p.m., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters used a battery operated tool to lift the vehicle off the man.

I guess that I was lucky. When the idiot tow driver failed to sucure my car which resulted in it falling off at the first turn, at least no one was hurt. Good thing that my cat was in her carrier and it was safty belted in,so even she was not injured even if she was understandably upset.

My best wishes to the gentleman involved.
