LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Christina Aguilera will receive the 2,423rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday, nine days before the release of her feature film debut, "Burlesque."

The ceremony is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard.

Born Dec. 18, 1980, in Staten Island, N.Y., and raised outside of Pittsburgh, Aguilera first appeared on national television in 1990 as a contestant on "Star Search."

Aguilera was later cast as a member of Disney Channel's "The All New Mickey Mouse Club" during the 1992-1993 season with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.

Her self-titled debut album was released on Aug. 24, 1999, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with more than eight million copies sold in the United States.

Aguilera's 2006 album "Back to Basics," would also reach the top of the sales charts, along with four of her singles, "Genie in a Bottle," "What a Girl Wants" "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" and "Lady Marmalade."

Aguilera won the first of her four Grammys in 1999 as best new artist. She also won Grammys in 2001 for best pop collaboration with vocals for "Lady Marmalade," and for best female pop vocal performance in both 2003 and 2006 for "Beautiful" and "Ain't No Other Man."
