RUBIDOUX (CBS) — Hundreds of firefighters Sunday responded to a fast-moving brush fire in Rubidoux, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.

The blaze, which was reported about 12:20 p.m., broke out near Pacific Avenue and Canal Street and was burning in light grasses, Cal Fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.

It reached 45 acres before being contained at 1:50 p.m.

About 145 firefighters, 17 engines, four air tankers, two water tenders and two bulldozers were sent to combat the flames.

No injuries or evacuations were reported.
