Missing Girl, 16, May Have Run Away With Boyfriend To Tijuana

CANOGA PARK (CBS) — A missing 16-year-old girl was returned home after her parents feared her 19-year-old boyfriend might have driven her to Tijuana.

Ashley Lynn Calvillo was last seen at her high school in Canoga Park at 7 a.m. Friday, police said. She was found at the Mexican border, where she was detained by the U.S. Border Patrol.

Ashley's parents thought she might have been headed to Tijuana with her boyfriend, Rudy Altamirano, in a 2001 white Ford Explorer.

Ashley is Latino, with black hair and brown eyes and is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 164 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black cardigan, blue jean shorts and black and white Converse shoes.

Anyone with information about Ashley's whereabouts can call 818-838-9810 or 818-838-9800.
