ANAHEIM (CBS) — While Anaheim continues to ban medical marijuana dispensaries within its borders, the city-owned Convention Center is hosting this weekend’s event for people 18 and over.

It’s billed as the “biggest medical-marijuana expo to hit Orange County.”

Kush Expo Brings Medical Marijuana Convention To Anaheim: KNX 1070’s Mike Landa reports.

Event organizers say card-carrying medical-marijuana patients are allowed to smoke cannabis in a designated smoking area” outside the back of the convention hall.

The Kush Expo is set to run Friday through Sunday in the Anaheim Convention Center. “Kush” is a slang term for high-grade marijuana.
