Raising Money For 'Shave For The Brave'

NEWPORT BEACH (CBS) — Six Corona Del Mar High School teachers are pretty brave souls.

They handed their students sharp objects, namely scissors, and said cut our hair! These teachers aren't just brave (or crazy!) they were letting the students cut their hair for the charity "Locks of Love."

The charity takes human hair and forms it into wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair to chemo.

The kids wanted to make $10,000 in addition to the hair donation and made just shy of $8,000. A bunch of students also lined up to get their hair shorn. Some said they cut their hair in solidarity with family members battling cancer.
